ColossalCon Oriental Steampunk Lantern

Prissy and Bella are working on accessory lanterns for ColossalCon in June.

This project started with an empty cashew container from Target.  Then, it was wrapped with paper tapes purchased at Small Studio.  Then, I used Modge Podge over the tapes to keep them from peeling.  The handle is made from a U-bolt that has been painted.

There is a flickering battery operated tea light inside.  Sorry the picture wasn't able to capture that.

Here's the nearly finished product.  I also added some gears and flat beads.  The gears were also purchased at Small Studio.

World Steam Expo 2012 - Steam Lift Off

Here's an idea you will want to "lift" for yourself!  "Mom" took a man's suit, cut, shortened and embellished with buttons to make a tail coat.  Now, what do you think she used to make the tails?  The pant legs.  Mom you are a genius!!!  This is a fabulous idea and you did a splendid job!!!
